Why is "Service" showing as the name of the operator in Application Management?
Question
When looking at applications in Application Management, the OPERATOR is sometimes listed as 'Service'. Why is that?
Answer
The "operator" indicates which user had last interacted with an application. For example: If an application was sent to the Hold queue, the status will show as in 'Hold' and the operator column will show the name of the user that had sent the application to the hold queue.
If 'Service' is listed as the operator, that means that the last interaction with that application was an automated step in the workflow. If an application's status, for example, is 'Waiting for Export', then the operator will be listed as 'Service'.
