New features and changes released in update packages for RocketSCAN version 4.13 are listed below.

New Features

Student Lookup Search now includes Income Form data

If your district uses RocketSCAN to process income forms, the Student Lookup Search tool will now display an additional columns for "Income Form Meal Status" and "Income Form Status Reason" if the student has an income form that was processed for the current school year.

Support for Universal Feeding

You can now enter utilize your own State's income guidelines to determine eligibility benefits! Contact RocketSCAN support for more information on this feature.
We update RocketSCAN every year during your rollover with the USDA's national eligibility guidelines. Using this new feature is not required.

DC status included in "Not Submitted" report

The "not submitted" report (AKA: "nag list") now includes a column that indicates whether or not the student is directly certified.

Validation notifications for possible outdated student data

The Validation module now checks to see when was the last time your Student Lookup was refreshed and will advise if it may be outdated. Additionally, Validation now displays a dismiss-able reminder to update your Student Lookup if you had any recent changes to your student enrollment.

Data Source Switcher

RocketSCAN now has a built-in data source switcher if your district has more than one RocketSCAN system! Please contact Image One support if you would like to utilize this feature so that we may configure it for you.

Scan prompt - is red dropout enabled?

The first time you attempt to save a batch in the Scan module each year, you will now see a reminder to ensure that your images do not show the field boxes from your application/form. If you see the field boxes on your images, your scanner's red dropout might not be enabled or configured properly, so you should not save that batch. The message is simply informational and will not display again for the remainder of the school year for the current user after the message is closed.

Support for "School Use Only" Fields

RocketSCAN now supports up to 5 customizable "school use only" text fields and 1 customizable "school use only" checkbox for our online applications and forms. The data for these fields will be burned to the application image for audit purposes only and will not export to an external source.

Changes

Reports menu

The Reports (now called "Usage Reports"), Income Form Reports, Custom Export, and Historical Export tools have been moved from the Administration menu to the new "Reports" menu in the Admin module.

Shortcut to Customer Portal

The "Additional Services" section of the Mission Control now features a button to open the RocketSCAN Customer Portal site in your default web browser.

Income Form Reports wizard no longer requires add-on

The "Income Form Reports" wizard can now be accessed by all current RocketSCAN customers so that they may utilize the "Current", "Full", and "Not Submitted" reports for their meal application data.
Your RocketSCAN system cannot process or report on income form data without the Income Forms Add-On.

New default images available for online meal application or income survey

Customers using RocketSCAN's online income survey may notice that they have a new image on their welcome page! Customers using RocketSCAN's online meal application have the option to continue using the same default image of the kids in line for lunch or our new image of kids sitting at a lunch table.
If your district uses a custom image for your online meal application or income survey, it should not be affected.
