Quick Start Guide: Verification

Quick Start Guide: Verification

If your Point of Sale provides RocketSCAN information on whether or not a student has been selected for Verification, RocketSCAN has some additional features to help you with the Verification process.

Verification notification during Validation

You can be notified during Validation when a student has been flagged for Verification.

In Validation, click on the User Preferences button.

If the Display Verification notification box is checked, then you will see notification text if a student has been flagged for Verification. If it was unchecked and you want to see the notification, then check the box, click OK, then restart the Validation module.

The RocketSCAN Validation User Preferences window.

If RocketSCAN has information from your point of sale that indicates that a student was selected for Verification and the notification is enabled, you will see “This student is marked for verification.” after matching the student to their ID number. Additionally, their information will be in green text in the data entry panel’s final list.

Not exported due to Verification

There is a setting in RocketSCAN that can be enabled to prevent applications that have students that have been selected for Verification from exporting to the Point of Sale. You may contact the Image One support team to review the settings for your district.

If the setting is enabled, you can view those applications in Application Management under the tab labeled Not Exported Due to Verification.

From here, you can right-click a student and select one of the following:

  1. Open…
  1. Export…
  1. Move to Hold
  1. Delete this student or Delete this application

If you need to export to the application to your point of sale, select Export… then click Yes.

RocketSCAN prompt asking if the user wants to export the selected student.

If you open an application from the Not Exported Due to Verification tab, you will be able to view it (and print it or make notes) but you will not be able to modify it.

RocketSCAN application viewer with the context menu open over the application image frame.

If you need to modify an application that is in Not Exported Due Verification tab, then you will need to select the option to Move to Hold. Then you will be able to find and open the application under the Held Applications tab and modify it as needed.

Did you know?
The "not exported due to Verification" setting is not enabled by default. If you would like to enable this setting or have it automatically enable after a specific date, contact Image One support.
